The Commercial Court publishes “lead times”, which give an indication of the earliest date when a trial or application is likely to be listed for hearing, depending upon how long it is expected to last. The lead times depend upon the volume of outstanding business in the Court, and they are regularly updated to take account of changes in the Court’s workload.
The lead times are for trials and applications for which there is no particular urgency. The Commercial Court will expedite hearings which are genuinely urgent. A party who wishes to apply for expedition should contact the Listing Office, copying-in all other parties.
